Spend a night under some of the clearest skies in Pakistan on the vast Deosai Plains, one of the highest plateaus in the world at around 4,100 metres. This two day camping experience starts from Skardu with a scenic 4×4 drive onto the plateau, past wildflower meadows, streams and lakes. Camp near Sheosar Lake with views of Nanga Parbat on clear days, watch for Himalayan marmots along the way, and enjoy fresh camp-cooked meals as the light fades over the plains.
Location: Deosai National Park, Skardu district, Gilgit-Baltistan. Duration: 2 days (1 night camping). Price: PKR 28,000 per person.
Includes: 4×4 transport from Skardu to Deosai and back, camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags and mats), camp meals (dinner and breakfast), drinking water, and an experienced local camp crew and guide. Not included: Deosai National Park entry fee, personal snacks, warm clothing and personal expenses.
