Ride the rapids on a full day white water rafting trip on the Gilgit River section of the Indus river system, near Gilgit. After a safety briefing from your certified rafting guide, paddle through exciting rapids and calmer stretches with huge mountain scenery on both banks. No previous rafting experience is needed – just a sense of adventure and a willingness to get splashed. The trip finishes with a riverside lunch.
Location: Gilgit River section near Gilgit city, Gilgit district, Gilgit-Baltistan. Duration: Full day. Price: PKR 15,000 per person.
Includes: Certified rafting guide and safety crew, raft, paddles, helmets and life jackets, safety briefing and practice paddle, transport from Gilgit city to the put-in point and back, and a riverside lunch. Not included: personal clothing and shoes that can get wet, and personal expenses.
Good for: Adventure seekers, groups of friends and active travellers. Swimming ability is helpful but not required; life jackets are worn at all times on the water.
